Map (continued)

Probably one of the best ways to travel this trail would be starting from the south.  Take a little time to explore the area around the parking lot.  First off you will find the Triple Wipple Bridge. This bridge is the last of its kind and is studied by people all over the world.  There is also some historically significant items across the bridge at the Riverview Cemetery.

As you head north on Harford Pike, keep your eyes open for various Indian mounds along the creek as well as a few historical farms.

Use extra caution when you reach the end of Hueseman Road and begin hiking along SR262.  This is a heavily traveled highway.

If you want to see the historic marker for Major McGuire's Grave, you will need to turn onto Clay Miller Road (about 18 miles up trail).

Be extra cautious when traveling the section of the trail that follows SR62 from Bells Branch Road down the hill into Friendship.  This section of the road is very well traveled.

The northern section of the trail will take you through some scenic hilly areas.

Here is a Google Earth map file that you can use as well.
